Join Peruvian Artist: Ernesto Carozzo for a presentation of his book and series: Illuminated Flora and its magical surroundings
About the artist:
Ernesto Carozzo (1979 Lima, Perú)
Completed his studies in Photography at the Centro de la Photography of Lima in 2007. From the beginning he was interested in art photography; his training as a professional photographer enabled him to undertake commercial work in order to finance his own personal projects. He has always been inclined in his series to revisit different moments in the history of photographic images, that have provided the groundwork for explorations in the different genres: portrait, still-life, landscape or his unique form to photograph the sky. His use of painting to generate interventions that highlight and transform different components of photographic images began in 2019; and has since become his principal artistic exploration.
In 2017 he created Luz Verde an art platform to promote the work of artists he considers significant for the Peruvian contemporary scene linked to ancestry.
