Monira Fridays is a program that aims to provide a platform for artists, performers, musicians and writers to showcase their work, building a creative community where audiences can engage with the arts and artists in bi monthly events held at the Monira Foundation space in Jersey City. This program, presented since 2021 by ROQ Initiative in partnership with Monira Foundation, was developed with the intention to be a consistent and inclusive creative space for the community to support and connect with emerging and established artists.

Monira Fridays Open Mic is a community event that embraces the open mic format, welcoming guests/performers/artists from all backgrounds and complemented by various art forms like film and photography.
EMERGE SERIES
Emerge is a series focused on highlighting artists featured in Monira Fridays Emerge diving into their history, experiences, and perspective on growth, music, and their craft. New events each season so check our calendar to RSVP.
