Exhibitions: The Pierogi Flat Files

View original works by 350+ artists housed in portfolios within these flat file drawers

A single Flat File holding twenty artist portfolios was first exhibited at Pierogi in Brooklyn in 1994. Since then the files have traveled to London and Manchester, England, Vienna, Austria, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, and elsewhere. Access and participation, on the part of both artists and viewers, was the original and remains the central idea of the Pierogi Flat Files. With this exhibition, we hope to broaden the viewing experience and to bring the audience back to an in-person, visceral viewing where you can see original artworks in hand.
