Reflections: Portraits That Define Community
A Fundraising Art Sale for The Sharing Place and Monira Foundation
Join us for a special evening celebrating artists, community, and the power of collecting art for a cause.
On Wednesday, May 20th, from 6–9 PM, Monira Foundation will host Reflections: Portraits That Define Community, a one-night exhibition and anonymous art sale. Sales begin promptly at 6:30 PM.
Each original 8” x 10” portrait will be available for $150 and exhibited without the artist’s name on the front, inviting viewers to connect first with the work itself. Artist identities will be revealed after purchase.
Enjoy drinks, light bites, and a vibrant atmosphere as you browse a collective installation of portraits exploring connection, belonging, and care. Whether depicting a friend, a neighbor, a memory, or a self-portrait, each work contributes to a larger reflection of the many faces that shape our shared community.
Artist announcements will be shared on social media in the weeks leading up to the event — stay tuned.
Giving Back
Proceeds from the evening will directly benefit:
- The Sharing Place supports efforts to reduce food insecurity in Hudson County.
- Monira Foundation’s artist programs help sustain exhibitions, residencies, and paid opportunities for artists.
Every purchase strengthens both sides of our community: those who create and those who need care.
Come celebrate, collect art, and support a meaningful cause.
Ticket sales to be announced soon.
