Join us for the opening of Mana Contemporary Chicago Highlight, featuring Kathryn Rodrigues and her work New Mountains.

Every Day Has Something In It Whose Name Is Forever is an ongoing photographic series developed over the past three years. The work begins with a daily image taken through a skylight in my home, a repeated act that has grown from documentation into a sustained inquiry into time and perception.

The skylight functions as both subject and structure, framing a relationship between the enclosed domestic interior and the open sky beyond. Within this fixed viewpoint, small shifts in light, weather, and atmosphere accumulate. Time appears both continuous and fragmented, shaped by repetition and difference. The work considers how attention to the ordinary can open into moments of quiet transcendence.

Presented in multiple forms including single images, grids, and photo sculptures, the series extends this logic into space. These variations hold time as both structured and fluid, and position the domestic as a site where the mundane can become a point of connection and reflection.
