Gone From My Sight: Imperfect Pictures by Sara Condo

In the exhibition Gone From My Sight: Imperfect Pictures the artist responded to the question, “What is a Rose?”
A rose holds layered and complex symbolism, making it difficult to define. Roses come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. To define the complexity of rose in a simple data set is not a linear task. Through the photographic process, I pull apart the object rose and separate it into several layers. I then put the rose back together through the process of digitizing and output printing. I process the world through these fragmented perceptions and present imperfect pictures for my viewer to see the intimate essence of experience.
