Artist Salon: Propagation and the Artist as Disseminator

June 12 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT
Free

Monira Foundation in conjunction with The Pierogi Flat Files and Mana Contemporary, artists are invited to join a salon-style conversation led by artist John O’Connor.

Gathering over drinks in an informal setting, this artist-to-artist dialogue will explore the abstraction of information in a globally connected society and the evolving role of the artist as a disseminator, translator, and generator of meaning. As images, ideas, and narratives circulate across increasingly complex networks, how do artists engage with processes of propagation, transmission, and interpretation? What forms of knowledge are produced, obscured, or transformed through these exchanges?

Designed as an intimate conversation among approximately 14 participating artists, the salon encourages active discussion, exchange, and reflection across disciplines and practices.

Friday, June 12 | 3:00–5:00 PM
